The kfile_chemical Documentation

The kfile_chemical plugins are kfile plugins which add chemical meaning to the KDE desktop. This means, they extract meta data from chemical documents. At this moment, the following chemical mime types are supported:

• chemical/x-cif
• chemical/x-cml
• chemical/x-daylight-smiles
• chemical/x-genbank
• chemical/x-inchi
• chemical/x-jcamp-dx
• chemical/x-mdl-molfile
• chemical/x-mdl-sdfile
• chemical/x-mol2
• chemical/x-pdb
• chemical/x-shelx
• chemical/x-vmd
• chemical/x-xyz

The project was set up by Egon Willighagen, and contributions came from Daniel Leidert and Jerome Panasel. You can often find Jerome and me on irc on the freenode network, channel #cdk.
